***Please note***although this is a 'musical' jewelry box - the musical aspect of this piece no longer works*** Beautiful Cork Diorama Jewelry Box - Asian Lacquer with two cork diorama sections - one on the lid and one on the single door. - the lid opens to reveal two sections (one for bracelets/brooches/pins and one for rings or stud earrings. - the door opens to reveal a turnstile (plastic) for necklaces - three drawers on the front     the top drawer is made for rings or stud earrings     the middle and bottom drawers are open for bracelets/watches/pins/brooches The bottom drawer is appx. 4" x 3" of open space (the mechanism for the musical part is housed there) The middle drawer is appx. 4" x 4" (open space) The top drawer is appx. 4" x 4" (space for rings, etc.) The space behind the door is appx. 3.5" deep x 4 6/8" wide with a plastic turnstile for necklaces The open space on the top is appx. 7 2/8" x 4 1/8" x 1.5" deep The ring or stud space is appx. 4 1/8" x 1 6/8" All hardware is gold tone Lined with patterned red satin When pushed hard the door section goes in just a bit Cork scenes include flying birds, cranes, trees, pagodas, a bridge, and mountains Overall this piece is appx. 10" at the highest point x " across the front base x 5 1/8" across the side base. This musical box has been used.  It has a pirouetting ballerina who dances to the theme from "Love Story". It is in full working order, the wind up key mechanism is all correct. Made in China, by a company called TOYO (stamped on the metal key). All the hinges are brass. This is made out of plastic, made to look like wood, copying a traditional style. The hinged, mirrored lid lifts up to reveal the ballet dancer, (who pops up via a bending spring mechanism), and there is a red lined compartment. There are left & right magnetised, hinged, mirrored compartments, each having a 3 hook hanging arrangement.  There are 2 pull out, red lined drawers.  The top drawer is fixed. The box is coloured in a mahogany colour, and the handles are gold coloured. It measures 7" high x 7" wide x 4.5" deep.  Solid construction. There are a few tiny marks, due to use. A nice collectable box. From a smoke free home. Thank you for looking.
