Here we have this really old horse collar. Hand-made of wood and leather with nice brass fixings (some are missing - please study pictures). In good solid condition with just the inevitable historic worm holes that come with wooden items of this age. Would look fantastic hanging behind the bar or gracing the walls of a feature restaurant. Details about   RARE ANTIQUE HORSE MANE LAYER TOOL - very

A rare antique horse mane layer tool, which I believe is from late 19th/early 20th century. It is a heavy steel clamp with the centre bar covered in rubber to grip onto the mane, I understand that it was originally used to get the horse's mane to all lie on the same side. In good, antique condition.  Rubber is a little perished and quite hard, and the metal is slightly pitted with a small amount of rust. Has original fly nut and washer. It has the number stamped on the end. Please see photos. Measures approx. 14.5" long and weighs approx. g. Thank you for looking.
