Really lovely old wooden jewellery box in the form of a wardrobe. It has four little drawers on the left and an engraved glass door on the right which opens to reveal hanging space for necklaces etc. The base of this part is for earrings and rings. Some minor scratches on the wood commensurate with it's age.

The jewellery case measures 9in x 6in x 4in, and weighs 540 gm. It has been in the family's possession for around 100 years. In my view it is too good to throw away as someone might find it suitable for restoration. As the photos will show the external black surfacing and gilding around the base rim is badly scuffed/scraped and needs replacing or covering. However, it is structurally sound and the hinges are good. There is no key but the lock mechanism seems functional. The inside material in the lid is in very good undamaged condition and the red material at the base is fair and could do with replacing.
