My horse moved really well in this saddle, better than he ever moved in a treed saddle. Allows free movement of the shoulder and back and moves in harmony with the horses natural gait. This saddle is a lovely quality saddle it is in used condition leather is used and has some wrinkles on the pommel and in general like normal leather when worn, No pommel as the original wooden one was repaired but on looking has broken (I will include the snapped wooden one for repair again)I used it with a barefoot wide pommel. I bought this for my cob while on quest for perfect treeless saddle, its comfy but its been sitting in my spare room and not used. Its 17" approx from inside edge of pommel to outside edge of seat and 20" approx underneath measurement as shown on photo Below is how its described on website This saddle is ideal for schooling, hacking, dressage, riding and training of Gaited Horses. The extra soft end of the seat enhances softness and suppleness in your horse. No risk of a hard cantle pressing down at the end of the seat, as the padding is designed to be soft for your horse and soft for the rider. The softly padded end forms a soft seat for the rider. The much shorter flaps on the sides of the saddle allow maximum leg contact for the rider. This is of great benefit if you have a wider horse or pony and you like to reduce the “sitting in the splits feeling”, or simply if you are of smaller stature. Suitable for all horse types.
