I have for sale a used, but in excellent condition 17" Thorowgood T4 cob saddle. Measures approximately 9" D-D and 5" on widest part of gullet panel under neath)....Used on a flat backed welsh cob. This saddle is fantastic for wide native/traditional types. I tried nearly 50 saddles, all of which rolled or just simply didn't fit. This was perfect, never moves. Has fish insert system (not available with saddle as never needed to use) allowing saddle to be altered to fit if necessary. Light weight and has been used in the show ring at county level. Because it is leather look with suede knee rolls/seat, you can't tell it is a synthetic. Straighter cut on the knee roll so does not restrict shoulders....Always kept inside and ridden with a cover on so virtually no wear to suede.   Buyer can collect if preferred or can post at cost. Black Thorowgood Cob GP saddle, 17" in good condition. The saddle has been used and has a small cosmetic section which has come loose at the front but a bit of glue should sort that out and it does not detract from the saddle in any way. It is clean and tidy and is in good repair. Checked over by a saddle fitter (Master Saddler) in the last week and has been declared as a good saddle and is in a good state of repair. I have used this saddle on my young cob, but now that he is older I am moving on to a traditional fitted leather saddle for showing etc. Low start price as this saddle must go. I don't have an infinite amount of space in the tackroom! The saddle comes with either a white gullet (xwide) or a blue gullet (MedWide) so please do specify your preference. Does need a good clean though!!   Label in the saddle states 18" however when I measure straight from pommel to cantle it measures 17.5"   Postage is by MyHermes courier or collection.

This is a 17" Synthetic Thorowgood High Wither T4 Dressage Saddle bought new 2 years ago for £450. It is in excellent condition - almost new as it has only been used for about 5 hours from new as my daughter's pony got a ligament injury and now just does light hacking. The saddle has been kept covered and at home so it is very clean. It is fitted with a M/W gullet bar at the moment. The gullet bars are easily changed to fit the horse. The saddle is really comfortable with suede effect seat and knee rolls and looks extremely smart. British wool flocking. There are 3 girth straps for maximum adjustability. It comes with a 22" Aerborn Waffle Humane Dressage girth and a white dressage numnah. The girth and numnah have been washed but do show signs of use. It also comes with a multicoloured fleece saddle cover. Please contact me for any further photos and to answer any questions that you might have. Fantastic condition,very slight wear on the suede on one knee roll as per picture, not worm the material away just gone a little shiny on the suede but not very noticeable only in certain light, it is very minimal.
