This stunning western saddle was hand crafted in the mid 's in Sacramento in California.  It was made by George and Carole Ward whose stamp is proudly displayed on the back of the saddle.  It is beautifully hand tooled in the "Old Rose' pattern in a rich mahogany colour with lighter coloured seat and is tastefully decorated throughout with Montana silver.  It boasts early Blevin Buckles which are marked 'patent pending' and t he fenders are split height and restricted.   Originally crafted for "Mary McCready" her name can be read on a now faintly engraved silver plate on the rear of the saddle.   It should be noted the saddle is of a substantial weight.  This much loved saddle has been used until recently and is sadly being sold due to my horse having being injured.  Its sale provides a rare opportunity to purchase a piece of American history either just as a thing of beauty or as a very comfortable saddle!!

Stunning Tex Tan western show saddle 15" seat sqhb semi quarter horse bars 6" gullet, 8" concho to concho Lightly used it is in excellent condition, fleece is spotless Very well made comfortable saddle. Suede seat, rough out fenders.  Beautiful tooling, rawhide stirrups and cantle, horsehair braiding and pretty conchos. Imported from USA. Perfect for short backed horses it measures 25" in length. I have used this on a 14hh gypsy vanner, 14.2 quarter horse and 15.2 quarter horse.  Please ask if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them for you.

You will be bidding on a western saddle which has a cinch and straps. Ok i Don't know a lot about western saddles I bought this as I was going to teach myself but have not done so, so saddle is just sat in the house. The full length of the saddle at its longest points is 22 inch. The seat from behind horn to front of cantle is inch. From the inside front to the other side it's 12 inch. The cinch is 32 inch and fabric with fleece lining. The saddle is a lovely dark reddy drown with a dark hide seat with machining and tooling. Left side fender? Has a small bit of damage from a bad puppy I have photographed this, it is on the inside and does effect performance. I think it is classed as having full quarter horse bars. I was told it is simco but I'm not sure I have taken a photo of the makers mark and number. I am just wanting to get my money back and have advertised as honestly as I can with having no technical knowledge of western saddles so please as me for further information if need but may need instructions. I am 5'2" and a size 14 if that helps with rider fit?? I found it nicely balanced and very comfy. Sold as seen, buyer to collect or can post at buyers cost:) Thank you Happy bidding x
