The SmartRider UK "Escape" breakaway safety stirrup is a unique and innovative design giving the user a superbly comfortable riding experience with the added knowledge that in the event of the rider coming into a position where they could be dragged, the "Escape" stirrup will operate its unique breakaway function and release the rider, preventing the nightmare scenario of a dragging incident. It is a simple operation to re-assemble the stirrup once it has broken open. And now the really groovy bit :)  If you have to dismount for any reason and there is no mounting aid available, you can open the stirrup up, rotate it 180 degrees and use it as a STEP LADDER to help you get back on !! How clever is that? The stirrup can be used with English leathers or Western Fenders and is available in 8 colours - black, brown, blue, burgundy, beige, pink, purple and red.
