Details about   SHIRES TWO RING SWEET IRON GAG WITH SCRUB

TWO RING SWEET IRON GAG WITH SCRUB BOARD. Sizes:-  5.5". This bit has been in a horses mouth once and was found to be the wrong size, hence it has slight marks but apart from that the bit is perfect. This design of the bit has the risen copper ribs (scrub board) on the mouthpiece of the bit, to help stop the horse from leaning on the bit. This two ring gag allows you to move the rein between the main ring and the bottom ring to give more control. Whilst the sweet iron and copper assists the horse to be softer in the mouth. Sweet iron bits are designed to  oxidize to produce a sweet taste which helps with acceptance / mouthing.   Thanks for looking.
