I have gained more confidence lately after learning to tie him up to mount, so that stops him walking backwards and the last time he took me towards the hedge I managed to turn him and drag him back through so really pleased with myself. The bit also seems a lot more comfortable for him. Riding out has returned to be enjoyable again and very rewarding so thanks. Horseware Rambo stable rug, medium weight, in Newmarket stripes. It was a 5'6" rug which a friend wanted me to cut down to fit a smaller pony, however after I'd altered it, she didn't want it back as the pony had been sold, and said I could keep the rug to pay for my alterations. I don't have any pony this will fit. It's had about 9" cut off the back end, I've sewn back the binding (you can see two joins on the hems at the back), I've added in the darts that were there originally, and moved the D rings over to take the fillet string. It now measures 4' 11" from front to back, so taking into account the slight cross over at the front it should fit a 4' 9". I will include the cut off section which you could have sewn back on if you wished to make it a longer rug again - the cut off section is about 9" wide. The only problem I can think of is that the rug may be too deep for the size - it measures approx 37" from withers to hem, but the surcingles could always be taken up I suppose. There are two small blue marks, one on each side at the back where it was marked with a pen. It weighs about 2.3 kgs when wrapped, so will come by myHermes, that being the cheapest way to send. If you live in the Highlands or Islands, or in Ireland, PLEASE contact me with your postcode and I'll see what sort of delivery is available, thank you.
