This Bareback pad was used on several occasions to get my youngster accustomed to having a girth in situ.  I used the Bareback simply to sit on the youngster and nothing more and she was not at all worried about the experience.  It is much lighter than a saddle and has no stirrups and was used to give my youngster a feel of things to come using a saddle. This bareback pad is beautifully made and super soft for horse and rider and the underneath is soft rubber so didn't slip.  The bareback pad has two thick straps either side which measure 21" in length each  The girth itself measures 25" from buckle to buckle in length The widest part of the bareback pad is 32" across the wither area. It should therefore fit a range of horses. No longer required as it has done what is was intended for. Excellent, clean condition labels still attached.

This lovely little lady will be up for sale soon. she is a 12.2hh bay roan show pony. unfortunately my kids aren't interested enough to have an extra pony. she will stand for hours letting the smallest of children fuss around her brushing her and picking her feet out and she leads out like a little lamb. she's a gentle little soul that needs to be doing something. over the past few years she has only been used as a lead rein pony this is why she's not for sale just yet. I'd like to get her going enough under saddle to give her the opportunity of finding a forever home. if she can grow with a child it would be perfect. she does unfortunately suffer with laminitis and as manageable as it is she needs to go to a home where it's understood that she's likely going to have to be stabled at night all year round. she has lived out 24/7 in the past and been strip grazed etc but I feel limited turnout on grass would be the best solution. here at home in winter we have a Woodchip turnout area and they can come in and out of the stables as they please therefore moving enough and interacting socially with each other without the need to be out at grass. she's been fine eating haylage with the rest of mine and is currently looking nice and lean. she is a fine pony in build so please no small adults to be full time riders she hasn't enough depth or width to take up an adults leg. I am just going right back to basics with her now and doing lots of groundwork to get her fit and into work mode. you are welcome to come and see her in the meantime to see if she might be suitable for you. homes will be vetted and more important than price. This beautiful quality 7 year old dapple grey registered Section A mare will make a top class all round child's pony. She has exceeded all of our expectations in her first proper year out competing this season, gaining champions in lead-rein, Beginner Rider, First Ridden, dressage, Arena Eventing and always being at the top end of the line. She has taken my child to Pony Club camp having much fun in X-Country to include up and down the steps, over a coffin and through the water, gymnkana's, handy pony and horse agility, taking all of this in her stride. She has never bucked, reared or bolted. We have also had much fun at home hacking out, bathing her and dressing her up. She is also safe for a small child to groom in and out of the stable and catch from the field. She is good to clip, box, traffic and shoe. She is up to date (and recently) with vaccinations, teeth, back etc. She is now looking for a 5* home and will only be sold to somebody who will have the time and knowledge to put more work into her schooling, to take her to the next level.
