Details about   Quality Black GFS/Fieldhouse 17" GP Saddle

A lovely quality black english leather GP saddle made by GFS/Fieldhouse. The saddle measures 17" from stud to cantle, 9.5 inches between the D rings and 5.25 inches between the padding in the gullet where it would sit on the horses back. The tree is sound as is all the stitching, the girth straps are in good order and the flocking is smooth and even with a nice amount of give in it. There is a bit of surface cracking to the leather on the saddle flaps and the gfs badge is missing on the off side but otherwise a very nice saddle in good condition.

I have taken a photo of the brand pin as I am unsure which make it is. It seems to be in useable order but I am not a proffessional saddle fitter. 17" Black Leather Kings GP Saddle Nice saddle that has just been sat in tack room as I mainly do dressage and so do not have musch use for GP saddle these days. This saddle is a few years old and shows the usual signs of wear. D to D is 81/2". I have changed the girth straps for slightly longer ones rather than the standard short straps that a GP would have, this is just because I normally ride in dressage saddles and only have the shorter girths. These can easily be changed back. The straps are a bit stiff where they have not been used much, and they were taken from an older saddle. Otherwise the saddle have very few knocks or marks on it and is well flocked. Has nice soft seat with grained leather to assist with grip. Loriner Black GP saddle " D to D approximately.  English leather.   Selling as no longer fits our cob. The saddle has no splits to the leather, but is well used.  Various scuffs to edges and colour to leather has worn particularly to the flaps either side.  You could probably dye the leather to improve appearance.
