I have gained more confidence lately after learning to tie him up to mount, so that stops him walking backwards and the last time he took me towards the hedge I managed to turn him and drag him back through so really pleased with myself. The bit also seems a lot more comfortable for him. Riding out has returned to be enjoyable again and very rewarding so thanks. Has been used on our pony for a couple of months however she has grown since we brought her, no real wear and tear, a slight indent on the noseband however this isn't noticeable (only if you're picky!) and the usual mark where the buckles have sat in place of the holes, all in all a very smart, posh bridle. The EB flat padded comfort bridle made real English leather, has a cut back headpiece which positions the bridle behind the horse's ears and relieves pressure on the poll. This bridle comes with brass fastenings and the clip cheek pieces, plain browband and an inch cavesson noseband.. No reins included. Brought new for £110 a couple of months ago.

I have a selection of full / cob / and pony size, in black and dark Havana with brass and steel fittings, please let me know size and colour after bidding.   It is made to exacting standards from the finest quality leather.  This Bell Busk Saddlery Running Martingale is available in brown or black leather, with brass or silver fittings and pony, cob and full size,.  It is made from the highest quality leatherwork to co-ordinate and complement the Arena and Leisure saddle and bridle ranges.  The leather is especially selected for strength and beauty and finished to match the finish on the Bell Busk Saddlery bridle ranges. The running martingale has been used for generations to prevent an over exuberant horse lifting it's head too high and beyond the control of it's rider.  It works via the reins which pass through the rings of the martingale and exert a downward pressure on the horse's mouth, should it lift it's head too high.  The running martingale is considered by many to be an essential piece of equipment when jumping or hacking out - it also gives you a handy neck strap in the event of a mishap.  The neck strap is fully adjustable and there is a huge range of adjustment on the strap which goes back to the girth too.
