Welcome to my auction for this old Jewellery box which measures approx.. 9and 3/4 inches long 6 and 3/4 inches wide and 4 inches high, it is inset with mother of pearl as shown in the photos, it has a small chip in the top at the rear and the compartments in tray have come apart also the hessian underneath has seen better days. This gorgeous jewellery box, seems to be of a  oriental/ Asian / Indian design -  date wise or age  no clue- but it most certainly is a piece of art and quality. and would make a  fine gift. *Has All Original Parts* *  has  3  top drawers that are lockable with a  really creative lock. witch if unknown  would take some figuring out  without risking damaging the whole item.  -   * a double decked, draw  at the bottom *unique design, and metal decorative pieces *Comes with Original lock. *Lovely metal brass accents with carved inlaid Jade on the sides, top, and front * Elegant Asian GREEN fabric in all drawers!! * Four upper drawers, two with ring holder slots and the top two do not. Bottom drawer is about twice the size of the others and a lot of room! the box is cm tall   depth is 12cm width is 15.2 cm overall  this is a very pretty, pretty jewelry box, and rather unique i think.  the metal decorative pieces are stunning.  and if i was  to receive this as a  gift, even as a  male.  "though i do love anything Asian/oriental/Indian styled  would be rather happy with it.    - ime thinking  it would make a  lovely Christmas present, or birthday gift for a  partner.  or someone special.   overall i think the price is fair, as  this is a  unique lovely box.  -   "packaging wise, it will be securely bubble-wrapped, -"Postage to the UK  royal mail 48"-   - cost of postage £5 seems fair.  "Worldwide- will be using royal mail tracked international"- or something Similar.-    will be securely packaged.

This nice little jewellery box has been hand sanded before been re painted. I will be honest I used this as a little practice piece as I wanted to see what the colour looked like for larger projects I have, don't worry still a great finish. Its very useable and as you can see its still been done properly no wood can be seen when the door is open like nearly all others on here. The back and draw have been lined in fabric and the box has been clear lacquered too to protect it and to make it useable. Even the back has been covered so again no wood can be seen so can be placed on display.  Unique and a one of a kind better than shop bought ones where everyone has the same.
