You are bidding for an authentic Aarong embroidered jewellery box from Bangladesh.   Aarong is a fair trade organization that promotes traditional craft and styles of Bangladesh and supports rural artisans, especially women. This box is an used item therefore has some minor signs of wear and tear; however the leather is still in very good condition, the embroidery is intact and all parts are fully working. The box measures approx.18 cm (7 inches) x 11 cm (4 1/2 inches) and is it is 4 cm (1 1/2 inches)  deep (with the lid). The box is lined with soft black material and inside the you will find a  good size mirror, a larger open compartment and a smaller area for rings, pins, etc. The box has still the original Aarong label inside and a sticker on the bottom that says ''sheep leather''. This is a quality item that would make a perfect gift or complement your dressing table. It could also be used to store other small objects or as an ethnic ornament.
