She was resisting the bit and couldn't be collected at all.Using the bitless gig,She calmed down considerably,dropped her head and I got that smooth gait again.She's not perfect yet, but with more time I hope she will smooth out more and most importantly.. Awesome product!works very well with training young horses to respond to- light - pressure. No more bits for me! Oh, was very easy to attach to my leather bridle as well.                Mary I really do love this while working with younger horses.I put it on my yearling yesterday,just to see how she would take to it.Though she has never had a bridle on before,she followed the rein pressure perfectly-from the ground of course- as she is to young for me to start under saddle just yet. He is so relaxed and responds perfectly.Why use a bit when you don't have to.
