We have measured it to be a 42" chest and my husband is a 42" chest (see pictures) and it fits him perfectly (the only reason we are selling is we have to many and he prefers his older one), however we have had this returned by someone saying it did not fit and was a 40" chest. I have therefore listed it as a 40" chest. Please take all measurements to be approximate, it is not a tagged item and was made to measure by Mears so no proof of size, people are welcome to come and try it on we are near Fleet, Hampshire or buy at your own risk as we won't accept another return. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS!!!

Black Ladies Hunt Coat/ Hunting Jacket made by Pytchley Lovely quality heavy weight wool with checked wool lining & Fox head buttons Used & has wear to material along the bottom edges of the front & back from the saddle, has a patch repair to back panel next to buttons that hardly shows, (approx 1"x 1.5" see photo) & some hand sewing on edge if sleeve lining  otherwise in good usable condition just the odd slobber/ sweat mark on the sleeves (equine not human!) still smart enough for the hunting field. Measures 18" pit to pit, 24" shoulder seam to cuff on sleeve, 29" base of collar to bottom at back. I would guess it's a 34" chest too snug on my daughter who is 36" Low P & P with myHermes.

Black woollen ladies hunting coat by mears. Size 40. There is a small hole (perfect men's able) and defect on the back (see last photo) and a few defects on odd parts of coat (see 2nd from last photo) which are not noticeable. The inside of the coat is immaculate. A dry clean and this coat will be a very handy edition to any hunting people out there. Outer layer pure new wool. Lining mixed fibre. This coat has literally been used a handful of times.

This lovely wool jacket has had very little wear so is still in lovely condition. I haven't had it dry cleaned as I'm not a great believer in it as i believe it takes the waterproofness out of them. I bought this jacket last year for £280 so grab yourself a bargain!
