Perfect for cold autumn and winter days this quality Mark Todd heavyweight rug is Teflon coated to keep out the rain. It is made of denier rip-stop material which is waterproof and breathable. The filling is 350g suitable for really cold days. The surcingles are low and cross over to keep the rug snug and the leg straps are adjustable and also removable, useful to replace if one got broken. Designed to suit the anatomy of the horse, it has shoulder gussets so the legs don't rub if the horse runs. It also has a generous sized tail flap with a gusset so the horse's tail can be raised comfortably. It has quick release adjustable clip-on front fastenings as well as strong Velcro. There are two rings at the back to attach a fillet string if needed and rings around the neck to attach the neck cover. It measures 6ft from front to back without shoulder gusset being stretched. The neck cover is matching and also has clips to attach to the rug which are quick release. Is has buckle front fastenings. Both have been used, and have been cleaned. The rug has a small amount of rubs to the front, but no rips or damage. The inside has very slight stains but is clean. Sold in excellent condition, still has a few years of wear left. Coat around £150 for both when new.

Mark Todd Deluxe Heavyweight Combo Turnout Rug 7' 3" This auction is for a fantastic Mark Todd winter rug. This deluxe turnout rug features an extra tough denier nylon, waterproof and breathable outer and nylon lining with 420g filling. There are low cross surcingles, adjustable double front buckles with quick release clip and hook and loop style fastening on the chest. There is also adjustable and removable leg straps. The rug features reinforced nylon anti-rub shoulders, shoulder gussets, large gusseted tail flap, fleece poll protection and anti-rub lining on the neck. There is reflective stitching on the binding and a reflective strip on the tail flap.   It has only been worn 4 times as I bought it in December last year for my big old hunter, so that he would be super snug in the winter, and then we didn't even have a frost.  That said, it is a fantastic rug and fits beautifully.  He was a 17.2 hunter with a big deep neck and massive shoulders and I used to have trouble finding rugs which didn't pull across his chest or cut into his neck when he had his head down eating, which was most of the time.  This one was just the job.  It's really thick and just a beautiful, well made rug.  The necks on the Mark Todd Rugs are designed to keep the neck covered when the head is down and it too is filled, to keep the horse extra cosy. It comes in it's original bag.  I've also had it cleaned, as even though he only wore it a few times, he certainly liked to rub in the mud when rolling.  I did notice, when taking the photo's, that the lining has been caught and a small hole made.  I'm absolutely gutted about it and don't know if it was done when it was being cleaned or not, but I've taken a picture so you can see what's happened.  Apart from that, it's in perfect condition and will make someone's horse very happy this winter.
