Supplied with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box. Instruction given once sold. YOU ONLY GET THIS TYPE OF QUALITY FROM US. Comprising a wonderful interior that boasts a later wooden tray finished to a superb standard that compliments. This has been relined in expensive plush velvet material of the highest quality, the same as the interior of the box. All the added dividers within the tray can easily be repositioned or removed if desired. The tray can hold many rings in an upright position. Underneath the additional tray and beneath the base of the box have also been lined in velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces. The box is approximately 6.25" x 4.25" with a depth of from the top of the lid. The box is used and has the occasional small blemish which I've tried to highlight in one of the photos, but this adds to the overall character and appearance of this lovely jewellery box. The hinges are a particularly nice feature, too. The interior is of a pink velvety material. I always try to be as accurate and as fair as is possible in the description of my items. Details about   Old Antique Jewellery Box

Here we have an old jewellery box. This box has been well used and well loved and the signs of wear are considerable on the outer top (see picture 3). The box is made from a very fine leather which has had a pull/scuff in one place across the top. (See picture 3). This jewellery bow was originally a very vintage and vivid Green, which can be seen on the bottom of the box (see picture 4) but the daylight has faded the top and sides. Inside, there is a beautiful Green velvet tray which can be taken to access a shallow tray underneath. The box is finished in a green satin, which is slightly coming away in places. It is functional and beautiful but the outer top shows its age and use. This is OLD!!! It deserves to be somewhere where it will be enjoyed and used.

This gorgeous antique Jewelry box,   must be atleast 30+ years old  solid mahogany. with serious craftsmanship in it.  as a  woodworker, i know a  good job.  to replicate this work would take years of training.    the dovetails in the joining of the wood are gorgious.   - not to mention the overall box is lovely and would look great in any setting.   obviously as a old item it has  some wear, but the key/lock  works,  interior is a  typical example of old jewelry box's.    -    overall the item is in good condition, has had a  polish up and a  clean up,  could be reworked but i think that would destroy its charm.      "postage wise,  will be well packaged with bubble wrap, and secure.  royal mail 48-  £8 postage is fair considering the items size, not large but not small.
