5 1/2 inch korsteel brand bit. Single jointed rugby pelham, with curb chain and a dark havana leather lipstrap. Excellent condition, only worn a couple of times. No nicks or marks. Looks very posh on, like a double, ideal for showing!  The bit has been disinfected and cleaned for your horses safety and comfort. The lip strap has been cleaned and treated with rapide leather cream and is supple and ready to be used. RRP £ grab a bargain! **The boring bits** Please pay within 1-2 days of winning the auction.  The postage option available is Hermes, to keep costs down and their drop off options mean I can get your parcels posted much faster. IT IS VERY HIGH QUALITY JOINTED RUGBY PELHAM horse pony riding bits  jointed mouth rugby pelham has a single jointed mouthpiece which acts on the bars and sometimes the palate of the horses mouth. The broken mouthpiece can effect the way the curb comes into play and lessen the direct action of the curb, but putting more pressure on the bars of the mouth and possibly the palate. The jointed rugby pelham can be good for horses that tend to put their head down as the jointed mouthpiece often has the effect of raising the horses head. Pelham bits are designed to be used with two reins, the 'snaffle' rein on the larger ring which should have a constant contact, and the curb rein is attached to the smaller loose bottom ring and is used when needed. I am selling a jointed loose ring showing pelham which I brought for £60 this year from Flyde Saddery at the BSPS Winter Champs. I thought it to be 5 1/4, but it measures nearer to 5.5. Only used twice, comes with curb chain and the stretchy elastic kind of curb chain used to jump in. Fab condition.
