Elasticated waist with choice of press studs.  Belt loops, D ring for - I don't know.   Full length zips at side of each leg as well as a normal trouser zip at the front (take them off any way you like!)  Stirrup elastics stop the trousers riding up, they are padded and warm, totally windproof and waterproof although washable - cost over £80 to buy so grab them while you can as once winter hits you will be wishing your child had a pair of these!
