Bertie is a horse lorry with on the clock. The lorry has been totally refurbished and  has had a new aluminium floor and the the roof resealed. Internally  the wooden ceiling has been replaced, the walls re-carpeted and the horse area all re-done. The Luton sleeps two and there is day living with a sink (has an electric pump for  water) a gas hob and grill. It has a zig unit with a new leisure battery, which the electric lights run off. Reversing camera/horse monitor and loading light. There is a rug rack and saddle rack in the back. The ramp is electric. We have only ever travelled the one pony 14.2, but previous owner did travel with two 15.2 horses  MOT in September where it needed 4 new tyres and brakes and was serviced in April. This is a great little lorry very reliable and the only reason Bertie  is for sale is we need a 7.5 for the accommodation as most weekends we are away and with three adults and dogs it can get a bit cramped. Man VW 7.5 Tonne Horse box for sale. MOT, until February - passed MOT this year only needing 1 new tyre. Currently TAX'd but dont think this can carry onto new owner with new Tax laws! Owned by myself and a close friend for the last 13 years. In the last 5 years of my ownership it has had 2 new batteries with isolator fitted, A new brake system to allow it to meet current MOT standards, the air compressor serviced and rebuilt and been regularly serviced. Extensive work has been carried out on the box to remove any rusty framework. This included removal the unusable side ramp and having a tack area door fitted and new reinforced ramp hinge area to cope with heavier horses. A new double skin floor has been fitted in the last Months with rubber matting fitted in top, but regularly lifted to ensure floor remains dry. Lights fitted in box to ensure easy loading at night. This lorry will easily carry 3 large horses. My horse is 17hh with sufficient head room. It has been weighed with 3 horses on board and does not exceed maximum gross weight. Very reliable lorry, used most weeks. Have competed and driven to events all over the country in this lorry without thinking twice. Starts first time every time but can be a little smokey when cold. CD player with decent speakers installed for those long journeys. It currently doesn't have living installed but is a good size area to have items fitted, currently has saddle racks mounted on the wall. Only selling due to inheritance has allowed me to get something newer and wishing to have living due to doing further away events. This lorry has no power steering but as a female driver I have never found this a problem. There are also some small rust patches starting to come through the paintwork on the cab but nothing structural or serious, Previous repairs have been made to both cab rear corners.
