Large bales of  hay, excellent horse feed and Ragwort free. Price is per bale. These are large 7 foot  long bales (2.1 m long, 70 cm high, 80 cm deep).  They are equivalent to conventional small bales. They were baled in July, with no rain on them. It is made from permanent pasture meadow grasses which is under Countryside Stewardship, so no fertiliser or pesticides. The hay is perfect and we have been rearing calves on it this year. We just need the room for the crop Collection only, we can load with a handler or we  will deliver quantities of 5 or more free within 10 miles radius of Worcester. Cash payment preferred please. WE MAKE ALL THE HAY AND HAYLAGE OURSELVES FROM OUR OWN MEADOWS USING OUR OWN EQUIPMENT, WE ONLY MAKE APPROX BALES PER YEAR SO WE HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO MAKE THE BEST QUALITY BALES WITHOUT RUSHING.  THESE BALES HAVE RECIEVED NO HERBICIDE OR FERTILIZER AND ARE CONSERVATION GRAZED USING RARE BREED SHEEP. BELOW IS AN CLIP FROM THE NORTHAMPTONSHIRE GRASS PROJECT; Horses and ponies have an increasingly important role to play in managing and encouraging wildflower rich meadows. This relationship is mutually beneficial to both horses and wildlife because managing your grassland to enhance your horse’s health and wellbeing will also, as a side effect, encourage wildlife. This is because the dietary requirements of horses differ from other herbivores; they require high fibres and minerals and low proteins and sugars – in contrast to modern breeds of dairy or beef cattle. Wildflower grasslands contain a variety of grasses and wildflowers which cater very well for the specific dietary requirements of horses, both through direct grazing and as hay.
