You could get the lot in the back of an estate car.  Used Gallagher Electric fencing kit. Up to 3 days ago this fenced the perimeter of a 9 acre field. 50% was fenced with three strands of wire, 50% was single strand mounted to an existing fence with stand off insulator pegs. Most of the items were purchased new 5 years ago.  Items:   One battery powered energiser with earth stake. One of the crocodile clips is broken and needs to be replaced, but the energise worked when I took it off.  73 fence posts (£4 each new)- Just over 4 feet tall, horse specific posts. All have good spikes, some have the odd clip missing. All work.  Lots of turboline rope- Gallagher's wire braided rope. Much better than tape (in my opinion).  Enough to fence off a 9 acre perimeter (50% with three strands, 50% 1 strand). Neatly coiled. Offset screw in electric fence insulator pegs (20cm), other pegs, gate kits (some have lost elasticity), and assorted connectors (see pictures).  New price for all of this - about £.

The B10 Electric Fence Energiser is a robust Battery Powered energiser that simply clips onto fence line to make it live, giving you the most simple energiser installation possible. It is ideal for small runs of electic fencing such as strip grazing applications.  Depending on your fence line, you may wish to incorporate an additional fence post for extra support on either side of the energiser if necessary. The B10 energiser features 4 Battery Save Options that can be selected using the external switch and in  operation,   a built-in indicator light flashes with each pulse to let you know at a glance that the energiser is working.  Live connection of the fence energiser is provided by the top mounted clip, which is suitable for attaching to Wire, Polywire, PolyTape, Rope (tightly), or a Treadin Post. The earth cable for connection to a separate earth spike, is also supplied with the energiser. The energiser is powered by 6 x internal D Cell Batteries (not supplied) and will run continuously for up to three months depending on your preferred battery save setting. The B10 Energiser can also be connected to an external rechargeable 12v battery using the optional cable accessory G.  This energiser is in brilliant condition, as I only used it for 2 weeks.
