I think these are brown, Ive oiled them and they are quite dark brown, but I'm fairly confident they aren't black.  They dont have a buckle at the rider end so they should, in theory be reins for a curb for a double bridle, but I don;t suppose that makes any difference.  Billet fastening to the bit Usual oiled and soaped prior to posting

1 pair of plain reins, soft supple english leather. Dark brown colour Great condition, hardly been used but stored for quite a while. The hide is smooth and crack free, feels quality and substantial leather in the hand. All stitching in good order, no tears or loose parts.  Billet fastenings and stainless steel buckle at the end. No rust. Considered full size. Each rein measures 127cm or 50 inches. Perhaps cob sized im not sure? Normal width, ideal for bradoon rein on a double. Ideal for low level showing or every day use, much nicer than some of the stiff imported cheap leather that rubs your hands raw! Has been sanitised cleaned and treated with effax leather balm to nourish the leather. Looking for a bridle to match??
