Pony sized bit, full cheek to help stop the bit pulling through the ponies mouth and help improve steering.  It has a twisted mouth piece which makes it a stronger bit than a normal bit.  4 1/4 inch - 11cm.  The bars measure 4 inches top to bottom.

  The full cheek snaffle is often beneficial for green or young horses as the long cheeks assist with turning by pressing against the horse's face, without any extra pressure on the mouth or poll. The nathe mouthpiece has been designed for horses with sensitive, fussy or very light mouths. It can also be beneficial for young horses, or to encourage a more sensitive feel when riding. The nathe material is extremely gentle to the horse's mouth and tongue, and helps to activate salivation and softening to the contact. The straight bar ensures that the pressure is evenly distributed throughout the horse's mouth and there is no 'nutcracker' action on the palate or bars. Not to be confused with cheaper, plastic mouthpieces, Nathe bits are soft and flexible, but not as bulky as rubber. An flexible steel inner core ensures safety. The delicate nature of the Nathe material can mean that if chewed by the horse it may result in damage to the nathe mouth or in extreme cases breakage. This Nathe bit is Dressage legal.
