This saddle was made in Stirling, specifically for my old horse who was a 15.1hh part bred Irish Cob x ISH and is sadly for sale after losing him at only 6 years old to laminitis. One of the red gems near the D ring has fallen off as seen in the pictures and the saddle has recently been fitted with some new girth straps on the left hand side by a saddler which can also be seen in the pictures. Lovely soft panels, comfy saddle, lovely straight leg position (I have just WON my first test this year in it - so lucky saddle) - sadly saddle fitter agrees my horse needs something wider:(It is approx 9 - 9.5" from D to D (never sure how good that measurement is!!), but the panels are very soft so could be built up if needed. Lovely saddle, done wonders for our flatwork as completely leaves the shoulder free, sad sale. As you can see from the photos the girth straps are hardly marked.

  Shires Windsor close contact eventing saddle 16inc medium to wide fitting.   Immaculate condition very well looked after. Stamped shires Leominster English leather.   Approx 2 years old. Well oiled had always been coverd up.   All straps and flaps & panels are in perfect condition. Recently reflocked. Air filled kneelrolls so very comfortable for horse and rider.   Pictures do not do this beautiful saddle any justice. I am open to viewings if anyone would like to try it.   Only selling due to no longer fitting my odd shaped tb.   I think this has a spring tree so can be adjusted ether side by your local saddle fitter.   Will been sent by herms delivery. Details about   16" Saddle Company GP pony saddle

Unfortunately this saddle is surplus to requirements as whilst it fits the pony, it doesn't fit the child it was intended for! It is in extremely good condition and as the photos show is leather with serge panels and synthetic flaps so is the best of all worlds! It has a wide gullet & wide panels to distribute the weight of the rider away from the spine, and is designed to fit awkward-shaped native ponies with broad flat backs & no withers. I do not have space in my tack room for all the saddles that I have found really useful and comfortable so am having a clear-out and getting rid of everything very cheaply! I have listed this item elsewhere so may end the auction early, but I am happy for anyone near to RG9 to view it, or else to try it on. I myself have had a nightmare with various courier companies that claim to not be able to find the house or find anyone at home, so I am happy to send at cost via the buyer's preferred company, in the meantime I will list P+P as £15, but it could well be less
