Jointed eggbutt snaffle, 4''- GOOD AS NEW Eggbutt snaffle is a nice bit for horses with a fairly large tongue or small mouth, being curved in the mouthpiece and not too thick in the bars. The curve of the mouthpiece reduces the action of the nutcracker, and helps to prevent the bit from contacting the palette. The eggbutt cheek on the jointed snaffle helps to reduce the vibrations felt by the horse down the reins from the rider, making it a suitable bit for a novice rider to use.
