Beautiful antique riding/hunting crop.  Antler horn handle.  Silver collar. hallmarked to Birmingham .  Makers initials M P.   Owners name A.E. Rogers.  Superb quality leather.  The open keeper measures 8ins.  Shaft measures 15ins.  Very well-balanced crop - not too long, strong, and a nice comfortable weight.  Silver collar slightly bruised, as might be expected after 100 years.   All stitching is good.  Overall the crop is in absolutely remarkable condition.

Blackthorn Hunting Whip dated . A very unusual piece. Blackthorn shaft with horn handle, silver collar and a new keeper fitted by David Thorne of Devon. History lives on with this whip. The inscription on the silver collar reads: ' Presented to John Genders by Members of the Doncaster Branch A.S.R.S As A Token of Regard for His Faithful Services As Chairman.' May . The A.S.R.S stands for the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. The Doncaster Branch was very involved in the formation of the early Railway Unions which really led to the first mentions of the Labour Party. To some, it may now seem quite ironic that it was a Hunting Whip that was presented to the Chairman in the last year of the A.S.R.S but, such is history. A good solid Hunting Whip, nice weight, and unique with that added history. Vintage Silver Plated Sandwich Box. Double hinged so opens out flat, all in very good sound fully working condition. Size: 6.5" x 3.5" x 1.5" There is some loss of plating on side with handle, along top edge near hinge and on underside where it has been worn away, presumably by the original case. Please examine the photos to see the wear, but note that there are some reflections as well! Will make a fine replacement if you have the leather case to fit. A pair of vintage black leather riding boots with wooden trees. The boots were handmade for a friend in the s/70s and are a classic straight leg pull on design with leather lining. The size is approx ladies 4-5. They are good vintage condition for a pair of boots which have been well used. The vintage trees are 4 piece, made of wood with brass ring pull and the name Tristram Calcutta on the top. The foot piece of one tree is missing. The external length of the boot sole is 10". The external height of the outside leg from the ground is 15.5".  The internal height up the back of the boot is 15.5".  With some tlc they could still be worn for hunting or would make a lovely decorative item.   They are a large and heavy item so collection in person is preferred but I am happy to courier so please contact me if you would like a quote.   I have lots of other equestrian items for sale and will combine p&p - have a look! Description and dimensions as follows: Stag horn handle 5.5 ins with substantial stud and silver cartouche bearing the makers name. Silver ferrule bearing marks for , makers's name and engraved "WADE" Smokey cane shaft in excellent order. Keeper and binding recently replaced.
