Barnsby Pony Club saddle. 16" seat, 8" D-ring to D-ring.  Well used with a few scratches and scuffs (as pictured) but it is still a nice, sound little saddle in good working order. The saddle is flocked with wool and had point straps fitted by a saddler about 5 years ago. Has been in regular use until recently when I decided to try treeless hence my reason for sale. Saddle is to be collected only, however if the purchaser wishes to arrange collection by a courier (at own cost and risk) then I am happy to carefully pack the item.

This super little saddle has done sterling service on a variety of native ponies that are built like a loo roll with no withers! It is built on a very flat tree with flat gussetts and tends not to roll or move forwards. It looks quite straight cut, but actually has plenty of knee support. Sadly the only child I have that still fits into a 16" saddle has a pony that does not taper at the withers as his previous one did, so needs a wider saddle........... The girth points are sound, as is the saddle. The only issue is that the girth straps are starting to peel an separate, but are still well-stitched and passed muster at PC recently. Having had a bit of a nightmare with specific courier companies that cannot seem to make the effort to see if anyone is at home, I am happy to send at cost using whichever service the buyer prefers, so will list P+P at £15, but it may well be less. Local collection is also a possibility and I am happy for the purchaser to view the saddle and try it on before the end of the auction. Also listed elsewhere, so may end auction early. I know I would get more money for this saddle if I sold it via my local saddler, but I have a tiny tack room and not enough space for lots of spare saddles

Used Leather Barnsby GP saddle, 17 ½ inch seat, narrow to medium fit but with narrow gullet (stamped N). Forward cut, very comfortable VSD style saddle with the yellow piping. This saddle has been well looked after, it hasn’t been used for 4 years but was ‘serviced’ by professional saddler and re-flocked shortly before my horse went into retirement. Sound stitching with some usual wear and tear and discolouration of the leather on pommel and seat. Unfortunately the shop that the saddle has been for sale in has lost one of the buckle guards. Condition and approximate measurements reflected in the pictures. Please feel free to ask any questions. Originally purchased second hand some years ago for £650 and has been on sale in a local saddlery for £400 but I would just like to see it used again hence lower price.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION A fantastic quality saddle in brown, fitting a 16" seat. The saddle is a medium fitting with a measurement of 8.5"across the D rings. The saddle comes with 3 girth straps and has good knee rolls at the front for stability. CONDITION This beautiful saddle has been extremely well looked after being cleaned and oiled weekly. It has been used by my 9 year old daughter for all Pony Club activities as well as showing. The saddle has been maintained by a Master Saddler and has been re flocked in the last month. New Pony forces sale as unfortunately it doesn't fit.

Does have some marks where the leathers sit and some light marks on the top which are to be expected on a used saddle. Has 4 girth straps. Measures 5 inches in the inside of the padding at the front and 7.5 inches d to d. I would say it's a generous medium fit.
