A charming little jewellery box in black lacquer with a pretty red rose design on the lid.  Inside, the lid is a mirror and the box itself is lined in red.  The size is approximately 5" x 3" x 1.75" and it comes in its original box (where there is a slight dent to one corner, as can be seen in the photo).  It was purchased in error and has never been used.   Would be ideal for a little girl's first jewellery box!  It is in excellent condition.     Paypal checkout should be completed within 7 days please.   Proof of posting is always obtained but seller will not be held responsible for items "lost in the post" so no refund would be available in such cases.

Vintage Chinese Cherry Lacquered Box A gorgeous little vintage Chinese jewellery box with a cork diorama inlaid within the lid. Complete with brass clasp and hinges. As can be seen from the accompanying photos, the piece is in excellent condition, ideal for storing rings etc. The hinges etc. are in perfect working order, and the interior has a lovely red lining with rose motif. Lovely wooden box with mother of pearl inlaid into the lid. This is a puzzle box - it opens by sliding a strip of wood along the bottom to the left (see photos). However, the mechanism has become a bit loose and it can now actually be opened just by opening the lid forcefully. I think the slider could probably be fixed if the strip of wood along the inside was glued more securely - see photographs. With or without the slider it's a lovely jewellery box!
