Shires typhoon rug medium/heavy weight rug, not sure of the fill but its quite thick! Its been washed and reproofed ready for use. Its got a few small rips near buckles which I've tried to show in pictures 3/4 but they don't affect the use of the rug. Only getting rid as my pony has out grown this rug!

Quality Shires Typhoon rug in navy with grey contrast. Made of rip-stop denier weatherproof Shire-Tex outer, with 300grammes polyester filling and cotton lining. There is no centre back seam to help prevent leakage and front leg gussets for ease of movement. The cross surcingles fasten through side slits which prevent bunching up of the rug on the horses's belly. One of the surcingles has been replaced, but with a quality belly surcingle from a Musta rug. It also has leg straps and a tail flap. It has been professionally cleaned and still has the cleaning tag attached for proof. There are two professional patches on one side, otherwise the rug is in excellent condition. It measures 5ft 9ins without the leg gussets and stretches out to 6ft.

Shires turnout rug, quite elderly now, but still with an awful lot of wear left in it. Two chest buckles, fleece wither strip, shoulder gussets, cross surcingles, one leg strap used as a fillet string, and tail flap. The outer is the really tough D Shiretex fabric, and it has a blanket lining. I'm not sure if you'd call it medium or heavy - probably medium, although the actual weight of the rug is heavy! Two patches, one on either side, a couple of very small nicks which have Stormsure on them, and a patch on the lining which being hand sewn, doesn't affect the outside at all. It's been well scrubbed over the fence, and has had three coats of Nikwax reproofer sponged on - it's pretty clean, but there are still a few marks and stains. Size wise, it measures exactly 6'6" from front to back - so taking into account an overlap when you do up the front, it's more like a 6'3". It'll come by courier, so if you live in the Highlands or Islands, please message me with your postcode, as I'm not sure about delivery. Northern Ireland, I'm sorry, but it weighs just over 4 kgs, so cost would be £ by Parcelforce. ******** ******** Please note that payment is required within 5 days of auction end.  I always obtain proof of posting, so please contact me if you have not received your purchase within a reasonable timescale. I HAVE JUST CHECKED THE RUG AND INSIDE IS A SLIGHT TEAR IN THE LINING NOT THAT THIS AFFECTS THE RUG IN ANY WAY. Collection preferred but will post if requested.

4'9" turnout rug, medium weight by Shires.   It has 2 nicks at the front by the straps where my foal has rubbed against the barbed wire, and a rip along the side, shown in the photos. It could easily be mended or kept as a spare - it still has a lot of wear left in it, as it was used for about 3 months and my foal has grown out of it now. Rug will be sent by courier which will require a signature.
