Good quality old English leather double bridle Brown leather, full size Complete with stainless steel bits and two plain reins Plain browband,stitched noseband Metal curb chain Leather lip strap, which is missing buckle side Snaffle bit measures 6 ins and curb 5.5 ins The cheekpieces and reins are stitched, so you would have to alter if you wanted to change the bits One rein has a billet fastening on just one side (has been like so since I've owned it, and only actually noticed when taking pics!) Cheekpieces are 1.5 cms wide The bridle is over 30 years old, and there is some dotted rusting to the bits Otherwise, it is in good condition, and has been well cared for Was used in the showring, but has been redundant for last five years! It is quality old fashioned English leather - don't seem to make them like this anymore!

Lovely used soft black full size English leather bridle. Only for sale as sadly I couldn't keep the horse it was meant for due to ill health. I've tried to put several photos so you can see the condition as although it's used it's been looked after and not over used and is nice and soft. Excellent comfy bridle in good condition.   Regularly cleaned, lovely soft and pliable leather.  No damage to stitching or leather. There are a few stratches on one side of the noseband, which can be seen in the photos. This bridle is stamped pony on the cheek pieces but it is not small. If fitted our 13.3 pony who had quiet a large head so is suitable for a large pony or small cob.   Measurements - all approximate.  Please check the measurements carefully. Bit to bit over the poll, minimum 33 inches, max 39 inches Noseband, min 30 inches, max 33 inches Throatlash, min 24.5 inches, max 28 inches when buckled.. Browband - 14 inches. Flash measures about 29 inches. Buckle ends for bit, these have signs of pinching where the bit sits, which can be seen in the photo, but no break in the leather which is still fine to take a bit.  Comes with a pair of rubber reins which are well used, complete with rubber rein stops.
