A Row of Three Vintage Cs Art Deco Cinema Seats & Provenance REF104 Over 120 Seats Available, So Can Make Any Length Wanted, also end panels available if wanted for extra cost. A row of three original vintage Art Deco circa s cinema seats, with cast iron ends and full history. The seats are formed with each seat having a curved back, which is upholstered and padded in purple velvet. The bases all fold down and are also sprung and deeply padded in the same purple velvet, the seats bases are also weighted so fold up when you stand up. Each chair then has a decorative cast iron arm structure, which has an upholsted purple velvet arm rest on the top. All the cast iron sections have been painted in gold at some point which has now aged and now has paint chips and marks which adds to there character. I haven't listed these but I do have some of the original end panels if wanted for an extra cost with aisle letters of your choice. Each seat has then got a small seat number which can be chosen by the buyer to what i have. The seats can be easily adjusted to be made into different lengths and for ease of moving. The chairs were originally fitted into the State Cinema by independent operator Cumberland Cinemas Ltd in October it has changed hands many times since. It was later called the Ace-State cinema in Barkingside Ilford London. These seats can be made into any-size you want as i have a large quantity of them. These are real classy looking and very very comfy still after all these years, a real piece of cinema history. They easily split down into sections for ease of moving. There are Approx 50 rows of seats available. Condition The condition of the seats are very good due to age and useage. They have ware marks to the material which I believe gives them more character some have more ware marks than others but they are all in good condition for age. There are chips to the paint work, which i believe gives them character. The wood frame has marks and scratches as seen in images but the have been used for over 80 years. Inside the seat bases the foam has gone hard and started to misshape and feel a little powerdery. They make need new foam in the base although can be used as is.
