Vintage  Crystal  Jewelry Casket  Large Hinged Trinket Box in the  Baccarat Style A gorgeous and vintage crystal jewelry casket hinged trinket box with a 28 point starburst design on  it's bottom. Large and significant, the casket weighs over 5 pounds alone, and is in the style of antique Baccarat jewelry caskets, with a domed treasure chest shaped lid. Box measures approximately 7 inches wide, 5  inches high and 4 1/2 inches deep. The hinge of the casket box is sound and secure, and the cover sits down well against the box.    The casket, both glass and metal, is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. I am unsure if the casket is American or European made since I was unable to find a maker's mark. A classic and very elegant jewelry casket which would make a beautiful display for your favorite jewelry as well as make a wonderful addition to any collection. From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Dripping with quality cut lead crystal teardrops and swagged with further cut crystal octogan buttons which shimmer with rainbow colours. The two central glass columns are curvacious and etched, cut patterning. There are 8 barley twisted glass arms and each has pretty cut glass dish with teardrops. Amazing detail throughout and dripping in sparkling glass crystal large almond drops and lead crystal buttons. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A truely stunning chandelier!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is a very large dish at the top and the base and both have the samepretty bobeche dishes.
