Stunning looking mid-Victorian silver plate tray for sale. It is produced in Sheffield by James Dixon & Sons. This dates as the companies mark on the back changed after this date. It is wonderfully ornate and features a classic Victorian design and would look great hung up as decoration. It measures 14" across. Most of the plate has been polished away from the centre but it doesn't detract from the piece. Description and dimensions as follows: Stag horn handle 5.5 ins with substantial stud and silver cartouche bearing the makers name. Silver ferrule bearing marks for , makers's name and engraved "WADE" Smokey cane shaft in excellent order. Keeper and binding recently replaced.
