The Abbey Saddlery Directory of British Made Bits. This is a book file you will not find anywhere! As my husband has retired from saddlery, we are offering this now for sale. Published in , it lists every bit available within the UK, it shows a picture, describes the action, and gives sizes. It has 7 catorgories, Snaffle loose ring,Eggbutt snaffles,full cheek snaffles, gags, double bits, pelhams and driving bits. It is all housed in a large green ring binder file, the front cover is stained with leather dye(see pic), it is apart from that is excellent condition, and contains 262 pages. This is a lovely comfortable endurance saddle by Clover International, a UK firm who specialised in specialist lightweight saddles. It is USED. It is 17.5 inches long front to back, but stud to middle of cantle is 18 ins. It is black ish / grey, designed to look like burnished leather. I would say it is a medium to wide saddle. Between the d rings it is 6 ins. It has lovely wide panels to spread the riders weight over a large area, and a wide gullet all the way through and it has 9 D rings for tying equipment to. As it is shaped like a gp  saddle it can be used for that too, the benefit is it is super light and comfy for the horse and rider. Recently restuffed by a saddler and checked over. Synthetic girthstraps, all ok and ready to go. There is some surface rust on d rings from storage.Only for sale as it is too big and wide for my mare.Free postage, will be sent by my hermes courier which takes 3 to 5 days from what I recall. Due to the complex nature of saddle fitting I will offer no returns, so if it doesnt suit your horse you will have to sell it on yourself. Local pick up ok, will knock £15 off for postage if you collect in person.

Job lot of assorted bits. Not sure on correct names, I know one is a happy mouth one is a d ring jointed snaffle one is soft rubber the other a bit harder. Bought for a very young cob and was unsure of size and type required. All in good condition. All have been run through my dishwasher recently and not used since.
