Has been washed in my machine with very mild detergent according to washing instructions, but some faint marks and hairs still remain However, when being stored at a friends house the rats got to it a little along the back of the rug (shown in pictures). It does only need a few stitches and it will be barely noticeable! If you have a look at the next picture you can see that only of the the nibble marks has gone through to the inside and even then it's only about a cm!  Also, a 2 of the top inner buckle holes have gone a bit green, which will probably clean off but it doesnt effect the use of the rug at all!
