  Lightweight 100g Neck Cover  (Rug Listed Separately)  These necks are designed to 'sit' well back on the rug to try and ensure that when horse grazing there is not a gap between the rug and neck where rain can get in. They are made from tough D waterproof and breathable outer and attach to the rug with three velcro fastenings. They have soft lining to help keep the coat smooth and have got elastic at the poll to help stop rain going down the mane line and the neck from slipping back. Ruggles 4’3” Medium Light Combo Turnout Rug     This is an auction for a lovely Ruggles 4’3” medium light combo turnout rug with a 100g fill.   Ruggles specifically make rugs for Shetlands and small ponies and as such, I found these rugs the best fit for my Daughters small Dartmoor pony. Others I tried just seemed to be smaller than the horse equivalent but not scaled down very well in order to fit a pony correctly!   This rug was used for a period last winter but has been professionally cleaned & re proofed. This very serviceable little rug is suitable for a Shetland or for a foal. It's very sturdy. It is medium-heavyweight and is in good condition. (I think I bought it as a Masta, but it has no identifying marks on it, so I couldn't swear to it.)  The clasps are showing the first sign of rust, there is a tiny nick in the fabric close to the tail flap and some light wear of the lining at the chest, (see photos) It has been professionally repaired and cleaned and reproofed.

  100g Lightweight D  Turnout We highly recommend the 100g rug as not too warm for Spring/Autumn use but we feel the thin layer of filling allows the air to circulate so the horses do not get 'clammy' in wet and windy conditions.  For hardier types or unclipped horses it is also good for the colder months. It is sold as a standard rug but necks are available to purchase (listed separately). The rugs are deep fitting, have cross surcingles, detachable leg straps, generous tail flap, wither protector, double chest fastenings with quick release clips and shoulder pleat.  There are D rings on the rug to attach necks to.
