Walsall made Optimus dressage saddle.  In very good used condition.  Good big knee block. Versatile, comfy and secure. Good wide and well padded seat. Lovely broad panels and wide gullet. Puts you in a correct position. Set back stirrup bars.  Measures 18" from stud to centre of cantle. Measures 8 1/2" across the dee's. Nice MW fit.  Flap measures " from stirrup bar to bottom.  Tree is sound. The stitching is strong, and girth straps are in good condition. Has point strap fitted, to help stability, and holds the saddle well behind the horse's shoulder. Panels are wool flocked and soft and even. Just normal signs of wear and use. A lovely comfortable deep seat   and supportive knee rolls. It has Crewe Saddlery pins on the top with a Farrington badge under the stirrup flap. I've been using it on a 15.3 Irish draught cross. 17½" KES medium wide black leather dressage saddle with suede seat and knee rolls. Lovely soft panels, comfy saddle, lovely straight leg position (I have just WON my first test this year in it - so lucky saddle) - sadly saddle fitter agrees my horse needs something wider:(It is approx 9 - 9.5" from D to D (never sure how good that measurement is!!), but the panels are very soft so could be built up if needed. Lovely saddle, done wonders for our flatwork as completely leaves the shoulder free, sad sale. As you can see from the photos the girth straps are hardly marked.

inches from D-D approx Medium Wide (my measurements shown in pictures) Black Dressage Saddle for sale. Stamps are unreadable so have shown my own measurements. Made in England by Champion Saddlery with Long Billets. Well used saddle kept in good condition with few blemishes and 2 small breaks in the stitching (please see pictures) one is behind knee roll on right side and the other is bottom right of the left side of the saddle - Both of these are EASILY repaired as it is just where the stitching has become loose and I haven't gotten round to fixing it. Lovely cut back pommel which is great for high withered horses. Width - I have measured the width from D to D which isn't 100% accurate as it can vary between saddles, however 9 inches should be a Medium Wide width saddle. As far as I have found the saddle is in great working order and has many more years use in it. I have no use for it any longer. Please ask any questions regarding the saddle. Thanks
