Details about   Fylde Saddle 18" Working Hunter Havannah

A Fylde working hunter saddle that has been mega well used and needs lots of tlc! I have taken as good a picture as I can to show that the seat has started to come away from the seam, the worst side being the right but the left is going too although I used a fluffy seat saver. I have oiled the saddle regularly so it is supple but the girth straps, although useable, would be fair to say have stretched and for safety definitely could do with being replaced! The stitching is coming away slightly at the bottom of the right hand flap and although this has no detriment to the saddle it could be stitched whilst girth straps/seat are being sorted. There are water marks clearly visible on the seat area where I've used it out in the rain over many, many years - see picture. It is a big, wide saddle for a big horse it's been on many cob x types of 15.2 upto 17.3!! It is an old saddle but comfortable never the less and with the right hands could be either restored to working hunter classes again or at least used for work riding. It cost a fortune in it's day and has had many judges comments of comfort but it is tired and very worn and old so bear this in mind hence no reserve price being applied as I would just like it to go to a new home because we don't have the type of horses it requires to be used any more and it's becoming another orniment to clean!! The tree is sound and after all it is a Fylde!! Happy bidding. Very nice brown show/working hunter saddle, English leather by M&J. Measures 18" seat from stud to cantle but is not particularly big and is short in the flap.  MW width measures 9/9.5" from D-D. Fits all sorts but too short in the flap for my now 18.2hh show hunter hence reason for sale. Perfectly fine on a normal sized horse! Good condition and smart for the show ring.
