This is a lovely little saddle that has had very little use. I swapped to bare-back pads shortly after I bought it and have never gone back - this is because my older ponies prefer the freedom of being ridden without the structure of a traditional saddle. I bought the saddle from Rideaway for £160 new. This saddle has no marks, tears or scuffs on it. It has always been protected with a cover.  The saddle is a wide - extra wide fit. The measurement between the d-rings is 8". This saddle also has additional flexibility in its fit as it uses the 'fish' system which is a series of inserts that slide into a pocket at the point of the tree on each side. I have never had to change the inserts currently in place. As it is, kids are given a nice size of knee roll to allow security whilst in their jumping position and the suede seat allows that little bit of extra 'stick-a-bility' for novice riders! This saddle was used for a pony that fits a 5'3" rug and is a native breed.  If I have missed anything out then please do not hesitate to get in touch. All the best

A black, synthetic general purpose Thorowgood saddle in good condition. It has suede-effect seat and knee rolls and is very comfortable to ride in. I bought the saddle two years ago to back my youngster in and it's been brilliant, but now he has changed shape, so I'm having to sell it.  It's lightweight and robust and has the usual signs of wear, but is in great working condition. It has a cut back pommel, so great for higher/larger withered horses. It's very easy to maintain - just a quick wipe down with a damp cloth does the job. Both stirrup leather keepers have been lost (see photo), but the flaps are totally fine. All 6 girth straps are in good condition as is the tree. There is only one buckle guard (there was only one when I bought the saddle). It's an ideal saddle for hacking, jumping, flatwork, backing a young horse or for a cold backed horse due to being lightweight. It measures (see photos too): 9" D ring to D ring 5.5' inside below D rings 15.5"cantle to cut back part of pommel 17" cantle to front of pommel 13" across the widest part of the saddle flap Please note, the saddle blanket in the photos is not for sale! Enjoy hours of comfortable riding in this multi-discipline saddle. This has a flock seat and knee rolls. The saddle was used on a Frisian. The internal gullet measurements are 5" front, 3 1/4" middle and 2 1/4" back. It has velcro knee blocks and has a deep seat. There is two small points on the cantle that has some material damage it doesn't effect its use just esthetically.
