17" Sandringham Saddlery GP saddle

17" Brown Sandringham Saddlery GP saddle with spring seat. Really comfortable saddle in good used condition. Has knee and thigh blocks. Usual signs of wear from stirrup leathers rubbing on saddle flaps. Small area where stitching has come away at bottom of saddle where knee roll and saddle flap join (shown in photo). Recently checked by saddle fitter and tree is fine. Unsure of actual width but measures 10" from d ring to d ring. More photos on request Read More

Bought this saddle a few months ago bit it did not fit the pony as I thought it would. Good condition and has adjustment that is operated from an allen key in the front. It shows on one of the pictures. General stirrup leather marks etc but all seems to be sound as far as girth straps and tree are concerned. not keen on D to D measurements but see the picture with the measure across that area if you need that width. It has three girth straps straight cut to show off the shoulder but a knee roll underneath so suitable for workers. No longer fits my pony who has outgrown it. Fylde saddlery Jessica saddle. This has normal girth strPs so can be used as a show saddle but has the benefits of the comfort of a dressage saddle with a deep wide weight bearing suede seat. It has strIght cut flaps with a good knee roll to encourage a secure lower leg position. The gullet is wide so comfortable off the horse. Brown English made GP  by Classic Saddlery. British standard on the stirrup bar. Very comfy. Block built into flap. Super soft and strong buffalo leather on the flaps and skirts and soft hide leather on the seat and knees. Measures 17" from stud to centre of cantle.  Measures 8 1/2" across the dee's. This is a nice medium wide fit. Stamped 'M' on the stirrup bar but is generous and fits wider due to the half panels. Flap measures 14" from stirrup bar to bottom.  Tree is sound. The stitching is strong and girth straps are sound and solid. Point and balance strap to hold the saddle in place and prevent rolling or sliding. Normal signs of light use. Nicely flocked panels. Half panels allow much more freedom for the shoulder,ideal for chunkier types. No marks or real signs of wear. Beautiful leather quality, very soft and supple throughout.  Pics really do not do this saddle justice. Useful saddle from a good maker. Any questions please ask! My email address is or call or .
