Generally very good condition apart from a 2 " split in the stitching on the waist which I have tried to show in the photo. Selling this lovely well preserved saddle on behalf of a friend who no longer has her horse.  But I can honestly say she's looked after this one, One owner from new.  A Dark Brown Fieldhouse City 17 inch I believe medium width, 9 inches from centre of D ring to D ring.  And the Flap from stirrup bar is 15 inches. Lovely deep secure seat and very comfortable as GFS's tend to be.  Soft leather, fabulous tan piping detail front and back.  A real bargain for someone.  She tells me her horse was an arab cross, so fit suitable I would think for this type and thoroughbreds.   There is a small amount of scratches to the cantle from storage as pictured but doesn't detract from this lovely saddle at a great price. And obviously normal wear from where the stirrup leathers have been.   Can collect from WR1 or WR5.  Any questions please are most welcome. I also have to say if you were to take a chance on this saddle, please trust me it's worth every penny of £150 and should be going for £300 at least. Customer to collect by own courier

this saddle although lacking a makers mark is a beautifully made quality english leather saddle (which no doubt cost a small fortune back when it was made) it is 17.5 inch in length and approx medium/med-wide fit (8in d to d or about 5.5in between the saddle cushions at the front.) it is showing some signs of its age with a few scuffs and marks on the leather and does have the name dandy faintly marked into the back of the cantle (see picture) but i cannot stress enough the quality this saddle is despite its age - not one for the show ring for obvious reasons, but years and years of useful life left in it - the perfect buy for hacking and use at home.

Due to the passing of my faithful friend I have now decided to sell my saddle. It is a brown leather Farringtons GP saddle. It measures17.5" from stud on pummel to centre of cantle and from D ring to D ring 9.5".The saddle is in good used condition and has only been used twice since it was re-flocked, the girth straps are like new. The colour is faded in areas and there are marks and scratches throughout but there is loads of life left in the saddle. I did purchase it as a used saddle but I have lovingly cared for it by cleaning and treating it regularly. Due to the size and weight the saddle is being offered for pick up only.

A great saddle that will really be able to cover all jobs with enough seat and saddle flap length to school in, comfortable enough to hack in for hours and forward cut enough to jump in. A true G.P. It has good weight bearing panels and enough width through the gullet to make it comfortable for the horse. Measures 8" d to d and approximately 2 1/2" in the middle of the gullet. Advertised at a good starting price due to surplus to requirements.
