Beautiful saddle. Brand new, only ever been girthed up. Black, 16 inch, wide 8 inches D to D. Straight cut show saddle. GT Palmer, Palaton Saddlery, English leather. Lovely saddle, stamped (flexible points, spring seat, made in England) Serial number . Reason for sale is that it was brought in error and sadly does not fit my horse. This is a dark brown english saddle, see pictures for makers plate. 16 inch pommel to cantle, front to back. 16.5 from stud to middle of cantle. Approx 8 ins Dring to Dring. I would think it is a medium fit. Only for sale as is one of a multitude of saddles bought to try for our large donkey, but this is too forward cut for her. It is a used saddle with a few nicks in underside nr gullet, could do with a stitch or two on top too,  and has a few scratches, but this is only cosmetic, see pics, if you wanted to have it repaired it would be a small inexpensive job. If you are not fussy about appearance this is a ready to go saddle, with lovely soft leather. These english saddles go on forever, no returns, if it doesnt fit you will have to resell it. Please take an extra note of the terms at the bottom as there very strict and if you do not wish to stick to them PLEASE do NOT buy.   Right in this listing:   IDEAL 16-inch Pony brown GP saddle Medium (Stamped “M”) fit   A lovely quality little saddle in good condition and has been well cared for, quality English leather made by a fantastic saddlery.   You know your pony will thank you for getting them a saddle they can move freely in and that wont damage there back, its also very supportive with decent size knee blocks and really comfortable to ride in (or so my sister said).   Open seat style so she found it generous seat size, we had it on a fairly well built Sec B, doing WH classes and general use.   Saddle is 100% sound, still in really decent condition the only cosmetics to mention are as follows:   1. Has a small nick on the left knee roll at the top, as shown in photos 2. The leather on the seat has some water marks from riding in all weathers, although covered with a rider on-board or add a seat saver, and a few on the knee rolls again mostly covered when on-board.   Girth straps are ok; a couple holes more used then the others and few holes have stretched, although still useable may need replacing in near future, not an expensive job just find a good master saddler.   Other then that it just shows normal wear for a used saddle e/g light rubbing/small scratches etc.   PLEASE VIEW photos ALL cosmetics are shown.   Bargain price.   AGAIN please ONLY bid if you agree to all terms in listing description ONLY! A few scuffs at the back of saddle but just from storage a bit of elbow grease and some good cleaner and oil will come good. Used for hacking as very good position, very comfortable only selling as retired my boy!

This is a lovely little saddle which has been used on our 13.2 pony. It kept our young jockeys securely in place as for many years, for a various disciplines including dressage, jumping, hunting and lots of hacking. The Walsall stamp can just be made out, I believe the saddler was Don Burnell. There is no damage to the leather and all stitching is intact.  The saddle has been regularly cleaned and kept indoors. It measures 8.5 inches from d to d. Comes complete with a pair of 4 inch stirrup irons with white tread, and 54 inch stirrup leathers which are old but still have plenty of wear in them.  Jeffries stamp is just visible on them.
