Danese Milano Ameland Letter Opener

The Ameland letter opener made of satin-finished stainless steel was created by the Italian designer Enzo Mari in and because of its exemplary design, it is in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Though created in the 60s – mid century, it is a very modern piece. The shape is double edged and two sided. The special curve and absence of a handle distinguishes its uniqueness. Being a pre owned item and likely to have some blemishes but hardly visible - I have tried to capture these in the photos. It is however in excellent used condition and comes in original box. Fine copy of the largest size Falkland ceiling light.Designer classic by Bruno Munari. Originally from and still in production.Included in the permanent collections of, among others, the MoMA, Smithsonian Design Museum & Art Institute of Chicago.Materials: Aluminium upper shade and ceiling rose. The netting fabric is fire-resistant.The lamp is inspired by the shape of old fish traps of the traditional fishing industry.Signed on top of the aluminium upper shade.Takes one E27 light bulb, in a screw fitting.Measurements:Height: 165 cmDiameter: 40 cm.Condition:Used lamp, but in very good condition.Three small holes in the fabric in the top part: maximum of 3 mm. This happened when the ceiling rose with two ceiling screws touched the fabric.Otherwise a hardly noticeable circle on the fabric and some dots here and there on top of the rings.Otherwise in near new condition.Please see the photos for more details.
