Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge Universal Bit 5.5" good condition, can post for a small fee. £80 ovno. This bit features a lozenge to help encourage the horse to relax onto the bit. The ergonomic design features a cleverly curved mouthpiece which eliminates interference with the upper palate and prevents the bit from lying too far forwards in the mouth. The bit is fantastic for use during faster work such as jumping as it utilises alternate pressure points on the horses head generating more control without upping the severity of the mouthpiece. The design aids the rider in turning and generally eliminates head tossing associated with transitions. The bit provides four rein options including the option for a curb and Pelham roundings when riders require additional control. A gentle training tool with a bit of extra help When a contact is taken, the Tranz Angled Lozenge rolls down onto the centre of the tongue, the €˜sweet spot€™, enhancing feel and responsiveness, thus a higher level of communication through the rein is achieved. The arms are slightly curved and of an oval profile. This oval design takes up less room between the tongue and upper palate, whilst offering a similar weight bearing surface from the horse€™s perspective as thicker, circular mouthpieces. The 14mm bridoon with neat 55mm rings is used with the Weymouth or on a small head. The 14mm normally offers extra lift from the shoulder and takes up less room in the mouth than thicker mouthpieces.

The brilliant all rounder, control without severity, a handy piece of kit. The NS Universal offers control without discomfort or severity. It is brilliant for faster work such as jumping etc as you can turn much more easily and it generally eliminates the head toss when asking for a downward transition, or lengthening and shortening in between fences. If you need to upgrade from a snaffle, it is highly recommended as you are staying with a mild mouthpiece but subtly employing other pressure points. There are four rein options including the curb strap and Pelham roundings.
