Towbar 2 Cycle Carrier – Thule Euroride 941 Here I have for sale a Towbar Cycle Carrier which has the capacity to carry 2 bikes. It clamps onto the towball at the rear of the car and is known as a ‘Platform’ carrier as the bikes sit on top as apposed to hanging off arms. These makes for a much more solid carrier as the bikes are much less likely to swing around. The cycle carrier itself is 8 months old, it was purchased in January . The reason for my sale is I have decided that roof mount cycle carriers are a better bet for me as recently there has been a few occasions where I have needed both my trailer and cycle carrier, but unfortunately, I can only use one or the other. There is nothing wrong with this cycle carrier. In terms of the features that it has, the bikes sit on 2 platform rails, and each bike is attached to the cycle carrier via two arms with grips on the end, these grips tighten up with two twistable knobs which tighten the grips to give it a solid hold. The wheels are then strapped down using fabric straps in the wheel holders. The cycle carrier also has a ‘tilt’ feature, this allows the platform to be tilted 45° to allow you to access the tailgate of your car without having to unload the bikes off the vehicle. The weight of the cycle carrier is quite light due to its compact design and it will also collapse flat for easy storage. We currently store it on a shelf that is 6ft high without any difficulty. When mounted to the car, it utilises the 7pin electrics from your towbar to power the lighting board and there are clips in place to hold your number plate. When fitted to the vehicle it protrudes by approximately 2 foot to the rear of the vehicle, meaning parking is still easy and practical. The RRP: off this cycle carrier brand new is £, I am selling this for £160, saving you £90 for the sake of a few cosmetic marks where my bikes have been on it. Other than this it is near enough brand new.
