Custom modified Xeon Desktop Build - Read Notes!

This is a custom experimental build which will require an experienced technician to make the most of. There is a modification technique for older desktop motherboards to run server class chips which I have used here, notably the Intel Xeon X is running in this board which is more suited to Core2 style processors. While the installation is successful, due to the higher power consumption (130w) the idle temperature is a lot higher than ideal, and under load this system can get very hot indeed and will thermal throttle to keep the temperature down. Installing a larger cooler is highly recommended. The case and power supply are very budget and considered to be effectively free in this sale. Find out more about this modification by searching "771 mod". Note: The bios is a custom patch I have made to accommodate the Xeon X microcode. If you need to install another chip, I suggest backing up this firmware just in case and getting the latest BIOS from MSI's web site.
