This custom made Les Paul is based on the classic Street Art by Pez and Dibo and is a classic piece by the Colombian borne Artist. For more information about Chevening Guitars - please check out our website The body and neck of the guitar is a refurbished Vintage V100. Vintage make great value, quality guitars with Mahogany body and set neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar has been upgraded with all new components including authentic Gibson Pickups (490R & 498T), making this beauty sound like the real deal The 490R Gibson pickups are reissues intended to replicate the classic PAF sound. Gibson also introduced wax potting, which does away with any air space, minimalizing microphonic feedback. The 490R is a humbucker with the tonal characteristics of an original PAF, with a slight increase in upper mid-range response. Gibson’s 498T humbucker combines the more powerful response of an Alnico V magnet with additional matched windings on each coil, which puts the emphasis on the pickup’s upper midrange frequencies for enhanced crunch and sustain giving you ability for powerful lead tones. The Les Paul is one of the most recognisable and classic guitars ever designed. This is a fine example of the Epiphone Les Paul Custom, which I purchased from Guitars & Keyboards in around . This guitar is in excellent condition, largely because it has hardly been played. The pickups and other hardware have retained their gold finish (unlike lots of other Les Pauls of this age). There's a small chip and very fine (hardly noticeable) surface crack in the paint at the top of the neck behind the nut, but the paint is otherwise unblemished and still a brilliant white. I'm being encouraged to reluctantly part with some of my guitar collection. See my other epiphone Fender Jaguar for sale. Come and have a look and a play, you'll love this. These retail for approx £500 new and are reasonably rare second hand. Amazing sound, iconic looks, high spec epiphone les paul with mother of pearl inlay in the headstock and block inlays in the fret board. Note that some of the 'gold' plating is fading on the hardware, particularly the pickups, which happens with continued playing. I'll be sorry to see this one go.
