Above the foot is impressed '' OUR ARMY AND NAVY AND BRAVE VOLUNTEERS''. The coloring is very rich and the majolica glaze is very deep and glossy. The design was registered on September . Box hand made by 1st world war prisoner of war

This is a gorgeous box made by a prisoner of the 1st world war. Inside it is written "Present of a War Prisoner and signed J. B Reypens" (I think not 100% sure about the last letter) The front clasp no longer locks and the rear right hinge needs screws, also the rear right back has a small split.
